We received some flowers. It was a great opportunity for the kids to learn and grow through this gardening activity, engaging their natural curiosity and wonder.
Gardening is educational and develops new skills including:
· - responsibility from caring for plants
· - understanding: as they learn about cause and effect
(for example, plants die without water, weeds compete with plants
· - self-confidence
from achieving their goals
Gardening with children provides them with skills to help
your child's development. For example, gardening is
a great physical development activity. Young children can
practise locomotor skills, body management skills and object control skills while
they move from one place to the other carrying tools, soil and water.
